Taking Responsibility

Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.                         __ Galatians 6:5 (MSG)

Responsibility is the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one’s power, control, or management (Dictionary.com).  Responsibility is also the ability to meet obligations and make and keep commitments.

One of the biggest problems in our society today is that people don’t want to take responsibility for their lives. Taking total responsibility for your life is one of the most important things you can ever do. Accepting complete responsibility for all of your actions represents maturity in your life. When you accept complete responsibility for everything in your life, success and achievement will follow.

You can never accomplish anything of value in your life or have any real amount or quality of happiness without first accepting complete responsibility for all of your words, actions, and decisions. Once you accept total responsibility for every decision you make and every action you take, there is nothing that you cannot do, have, and accomplish! The Bible says in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

But, we have to take responsibility and do our part. Everything you are or ever will be is completely up to you. Everything that has happened and is happening in your life is because of your behavior, words, and actions. Take responsibility for your own actions or lack of actions.

“When you do the things you need to do when you need to do them, the day will come when you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.”  __ Zig Ziglar

Take charge of your life, and move your life forward by taking responsibility today!
